Anna Elendt attended the Carl Von Weinberg School for high school. Collegiately, Elendt decided to stay and train in the United States, and began competing for the University of Texas swim team in the autumn of 2020.

Anna Elendt won three medals at the 2018 European Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland in July 2018. and Anna Elendt won silver medal in 50m breaststroke, bronze medal in 100m breaststroke and bronze medal in 4x100m medley relay.
