The festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated every year on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravan, today 13th August (Friday) is being celebrated as Nag Panchami. In Hindus, Nag Panchami is celebrated as a day in reverence of the deities. Nag Panchami Muhurta started on 12th August at 3:24 pm and will end on 13th August at 1:42 pm.
In Hindu scriptures, this day is called as Nagamanandkari, which is the happiest day for the serpent gods.
In this holy month of Shravan, Nag Panchami is celebrated a day immediately after Hariyali Teej. This Nagpanchami festival is celebrated every year on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha in the holy month of Sawan. The month of Sawan this year started on 25 July 2021 and will end on 22 August 2021. You must have come to know about this day by the name of Nagpanchami, as this day is dedicated to snakes.
When will Nag Panchami be celebrated this year?
The festival of Nag Panchami is being celebrated on Friday, 13th August this year. Snakes are considered an important part of Hindu mythology and Vedas. On the day of Nag Panchami, devotees of Lord Shiva offer milk, fruits and flowers to snake idols on this day. Some people also worship real snakes on this day.
