Hardik Patel was a poor student and cricket lover. After completing class XII, Hardik Patel started helping his father Bharat run a small business of installing submersible pumps in underground water wells. Bharat was a Congress worker.
Hardik Patel took admission in Sahajanand College, Ahmedabad in 2010. He ran for the post of General Secretary of the College Students Union and was elected unopposed. Hardik Patel received his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree in 2013.
