Hidilyn Diaz was born on 20 February 1991 in Zamboanga, Philippines. Whose age is about 30 years at present. He took interest in many sports since childhood. He also played basketball and volleyball before going into weightlifting, but he could not get success in both these sports.
But even after this, he did not give up and made his step in the championship. In which he continued to get success. Their continuous success encouraged them even more. And he has won the gold medal in the Games of Olympic 2021 by lifting 224 kg in 55 kg category. Not only has she received gold medal but she has brought laurels to herself and her entire country, which is an inspiration for women players.
Diaz was recruited into the Philippine Air Force (PAF) in 2013 through the military branch’s Direct Enrollment Program. She was initially assigned to the Air Force Special Services Group. He was also given the Air Force Specialty Code Skills in Recreation in Weightlifting. In 2014, she was promoted from the rank of Airwoman to the rank of Airwoman Second Class. Diaz was also the recipient of a Military Merit Medal and a Presidential Citation Unit Badge for conducting PAF events.
While Diaz was training for her stint at the 2016 Summer Olympics, she was assigned to the PAF Personnel Management Center on a temporary basis. For his achievement in the Olympics, he was promoted by the PAF. The extent of the promotion was not initially disclosed .but it was later reported that Diaz had been promoted to the rank of Airwoman First Class. Following Diaz’s success at the 2018 Asian Games, she was promoted to airwoman sergeant.
Diaz’s life was dramatized in an episode of Malala Mo Kaya, a drama anthology series that aired on September 24, 2016, to win the silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was portrayed by Jane Oneza.
