On Thursday, the family was confirmed to have bed facilities at Chennai’s Apollo Hospital and immediately the process of airlifting began. The Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Commissionerate facilitated a green corridor for special ambulances to travel 10 km from AIIMS-Bhubaneswar to Biju Patnaik Airport. “My brother is very strong and is battling for life on ventilator support for almost 20 days. The way people have showered their love and affection through their contribution has raised a new hope. I am sure that my brother will leave the hospital with the blessings of well wishers whom we do not know about and where they live,” Ms Pradhan said.
